Parabasic Ambulance Service

Ambulance transportation is covered for patients who meet the Medicare criteria for medical necessity. Upon arrival, our staff provides a comprehensive report on the patient’s condition and response to the transport while transferring care to the receiving medical facility.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
Our Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances are staffed with Emergency Medical Technician-Basics who are highly trained at the State and Nationally Certification level. These BLS units consist of assessment and triage, airway management (suctioning and intubation), shock management, oxygen therapy, bandage and splinting, automated external defibrillation, child birth, and inter-facility transports. Our EMT-Basics may transport patients with pre-existing IV solutions (NS, D5W, and Lactated Ringers).

BLS transports are available for patient’s going to and from medical appointments and can be pre-scheduled or available on short notice. This service is also available on a "will-call" basis or during an emergency for anyone requiring this level of service. Our EMT-Basics are available 24-hours per day, 365 days a year.

ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (ALS)
With the latest in advanced technology, our ambulances are equipped with the most up-to-date equipment and staffed by highly skilled Paramedics who provide emergency care for critical patients. These Paramedics are proficient in administering IV medication therapy and advanced airway management.

Paramedics are available for inter-facility transfers or emergency response 24-hours per day, 365 days a year.

911 SERVICES
We feel the best way to provide 911 services are by supplementing the local EMS coverage with mutual aid agreements. We work jointly with local EMS organizations to help provide these vital services to citizens relying on 911 while allowing them to maintain their autonomy. If there’s a medical emergency, always call 911. ParaBasic will provide back-up coverage when requested by your local 911 dispatcher.

We understand that all municipalities have different EMS coverage requirements. If your situation requires primary EMS response coverage, we can also meet your needs. If you currently are not on our list of municipalities and would like us to supplement your 911 system, please feel free to contact us.
